Kraven has always been a terrific character - a bit one dimensional in some people's eyes, but even before I heard of Kraven I had read "The Most Dangerous Game."

That story was the first time I had ever read something that dark about - seriously - being bored to death - literally. Even when I was a kid - maybe 12- that story made me realize there are strange dark paths people will got to simply out of the desire to fulfill some deeper need.

I didn't do much to Kraven other than make him looks less like a gay review go-go dancer. Sorry guys, but that original costume was something that belonged in the Village People not comics. If you don't know who the Village People are, go to youtube ... now and see what I mean. The cop, the Indian, Construction Worker ... the Hunter? Feel me? Moving on.

My design I admit is still something that would likely look ridiculous in real life - someone walking down the street wearing this getup would likely be guilty of several federal offenses regarding animal products. But the idea of the original Kraven missed a mark of sorts. The Ultimate trophy of any hunt is usually the hide or head. Claws, other miscellaneous items, they pale in comparison to the center of intelligence of the hunted. Hence the skull. I like saying hence, sue me.

If you are rumored to have brought down a lion with your bare hands, wouldn't you want more proof of that fact than some fur - which, by definition only proves that you gave said lion a haircut? Al joking aside - I finally feel a little warmed up after this piece, only I am seriously working on speeding things up a bit. These usually take from a half day to a full day depending on how in the zone I can get. Not economical enough for my taste.
